Our approach to pain management is to anticipate potentially painful procedures and to be prepared to take specific steps to manage that pain, both from the outset and throughout your pet’s treatment and recovery. Did you know that various types of pain can “look” different in different animals? A dog with chronic arthritis may exhibit very subtle signs of pain that can go unnoticed unless you know what to look for. Fortunately, our staff of competent and compassionate professionals is skilled in recognizing signs of pain in animals and developing an individualized plan for managing the pain.
From routine procedures such as spaying and neutering or dental cleanings to more advanced medical treatments (i.e., bone surgeries or cancer treatments) to such chronically painful conditions as arthritis or back pain, we are dedicated to providing safe and effective pain management to every patient. We will also help you recognize signs of pain in your pet so that together we can modify his or her pain management plan when necessary.
Recognizing and alleviating pain in our four-legged visitors is at the very heart of our quality, compassionate patient care. We never use “off the shelf” or generic pain management programs for your pets. We customize our treatment to fit his or her specific conditions and do everything possible to your pet’s comfort and well-being.
