Ultrasonography is a diagnostic technique that uses ultrasound waves to produce images of the inner workings of your pet’s body. Unlike x-rays, ultrasonography does not use radiation, but instead utilizes high-frequency sound (ultrasound) waves. It is a completely non-invasive, painless way to diagnose and evaluate many common diseases.
Our doctors are able to secure in-depth views of your pet’s internal organs, monitor their functions and identify any abnormalities that may be causing problems. Ultrasonography can also help assess fetal health and monitor pregnancy in breeding animals as well as diagnosing and determining the severity of some forms of cancer.
We partner with several board-certified radiologists who come to our hospital and provide this sometimes-critical service in an environment that is familiar and comfortable for both you and your pet.
